Overview
International coffee and tea producer,Jacobs Douwe Egberts, is one of those such companies utilizing QIS (from QiSOFT) for the quality management of their tea and coffee production at various locations across Europe.
Due to the success of their business and increased demand, production capacity had to be enhanced. Soon, after a range of new products were launched into the market, the company wanted to increase the focus on process optimization and line efficiency.
QIS was originally selected for its ease of use, functionality and ability to interface with 3rd party systems, including laboratory instrumentation. The coffee manufacturer undertook a trial of QIS on one production line, and once they saw the benefits of the system, quickly rolled it out to the other production lines. The plant operators immediately took to the system and were instrumental in the roll-out across all lines and with the implementation of QIS within additional manufacturing sites.
