QIS Notifications now in MS Teams

Bring your alarm notifications straight from QIS into Microsoft Teams – keeping your production, lab and quality teams informed and connected in real-time. Reduce email clutter and keep pertinent alarm discussions in one place – where all of the team can access and comment on them.

Easy to set up within QIS, you can use a Microsoft Team channel email address to receive all alarm notifications. Choose which alarms to send and customize the message content to suit your needs.

No QIS upgrade needed or additional changes required on the MS Teams side.

New QIS Service Manager

QTaskMan has been the work horse of QIS for many years – but it was time for a facelift and we are excited to introduce you to its successor – the new QIS Service Manager

QIS Service Manager will provide a more streamlined experience, and will no longer be a separate install like QTaskMan. In additon improved SQL Server messaging and encrypted connections continue to ensure the platform stays reliable and secure.

New Variable Types

Designed to make data entry and review quicker and smarter!

DYNAMIC LIST VARIABLE

Allows you to select from a dynamic list including (all configured) customers, materials, products, processes, suppliers and users.

INCREMENT VARIABLE

This variable type allows you to either type the value in as normal, or utilize the – or + icon either side to alter the entered value.

EVENT FILTER VARIABLE

Once configured you can utilize select variables to filter the logsheet. Once selected, simply click the Check button and associated events will be displayed.  

Real-Time Updates

With the increased usage of the browser-based version of QIS, we have made updates to the way changes are shared between QIS Connect and QIS Classic. This will see improvements in the speed that data is refreshed and ensures the two stay completely in sync in real-time. For instructions on how to apply these updates, please see your QIS Solutions portal or reach out to the support team.

QIS Connect - 2025 Developments

Continuous development of QIS Connect has seen many new features introduced this year – with some of the key ones outlined to follow.

If you are not already utilizing QIS Connect and are interested in doing so, please reach out to us to inquire how to get it up and running in your organization.

LOGSHEET VIEW

Connect now offers the same column based event view as the classic application, displaying all the variable data within the selected template for multiple events.

IMAGES & ATTACHMENTS

Quickly and easily capture and upload images and documents to events or variables from within Connect. Simply use your built-in camera or upload from your folders.

CUSTOMER DISPOSITION

Create and assign Customer Dispositions from the logsheet or Event List view. Select the customer, enter the order details, populate COA parameters and more!

Single Sign On

SSO is now an option for login to QIS Connect – just select the option from the sign in screen and it will display the accounts to select from – just make sure your email address is applied to the QIS database for this to be verified

If you use Digital Signature variables within the database, this will also prompt for SSO. This can be deselected, and you can use the QIS login details for the QIS user account

Variable Qualifiers

Once you have a variable qualifier enabled you can set the qualifier level at the point of data entry. When adjusting a value, this will show the qualifier selected.
